Harold and Rusty Hansen purchased the property in March 1982. They are the third family to have owned this home. This Federal style home was built circa 1871 by the Steele family from materials right on the farm. It still has the original slate roof, heart pine floors, and large wrap-around porch. The Hansens have spent much time, effort and love in the restoration and preservation of this beautiful plantation style home. Over the years, they have gathered old photos and stories about the family who originally built and lived at Oak Ridge Farm which they are happy to share with interested guests.
